Dear Sir / Madam,
Greetings from Parivaar.
On 28th of Dec, Parivaar has started Second Bal-Aashram for homeless, familyless children at Bakhrahat (30 Km from Kolkata main city). The Ashram recently purchased for Rs. 21.6 Lakhs is full of greenery and offers an extremely serene and soothing ambience for all the children and adults. The Ashram spread over six bighas (90,000 sq. ft.) has more than 300 trees and a pond of 9,000 sq. ft.

After Puja at 7 ‘o’ clock in the evening, 30 children (all in the age group of 3 to 6 years) were shifted to the Ashram.
Currently, there is an old building at the Ashram where all the members are residing.
The plan is to make 12 to 15 Bal-Sadans (unit cottage houses) for about 15 children in each Bal-Sadan over the next two years.
Each Bal-Sadan will have two supervising matrons and will have a sleeping dormitory, study hall, store and matron’s room. The area of one Bal-Sadan will be 1000 sq. ft.
Construction for 4 Bal-Sadans has already started on 15th January.
The Ashram has been designed by Shri M.K. Satish, Fellow, IIM Calcutta (Regional Development). Shri B.C. Mitra, renowned infrastructure consultant, known for the famous Infinity Towers in Salt Lake, Kolkata is developing the Bal-Ashram. Parivaar offers gratitude to these experts for volunteering their time and effort towards this mission of changing destinies of homeless, familyless children.
Below is the architecture plan of a Bal-Sadan.
