Our new 3-storeyed Education Complex at Parivaar's new Girls' Residential Campus was inaugurated on 12th August by eminent Indian writer Amit Chaudhuri. Mr Chaudhuri is one of the most well-known Indian English authors, and his writings have won numerous awards, the Commonwealth Writers' Prize and the Betty Trask Award among them. He is also on the jury of the Booker Prize, and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Literature. Amit Chaudhuri is also an acclaimed practitioner in Indian classical music, and composer of Indo-Western experimental music, with an album from each of these genres. His project in experimental music, bringing together the raga, jazz, the blues, rock, techno, disco, and the Indian popular song, is called 'This is not Fusion', and has been performed worldwide.
